This section contains the leadership artifacts developed during Topic 1 of SPD-577. These artifacts demonstrate my understanding of educational leadership theories and their application to supporting and advocating for students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), as well as my development of a leadership survey to identify professional knowledge, needs, and preferences among educational stakeholders.

Leadership Infographic

This leadership infographic examines servant, transactional, emotional, and transformational leadership and connects each leadership approach to working with and advocating for students with ASD. The artifact demonstrates how autism specialists can apply different leadership approaches when collaborating with students, families, educators, paraprofessionals, administrators, and related service providers.

Leadership Survey

This leadership survey was developed to gather information regarding educational leadership knowledge, collaboration and coaching preferences, workplace challenges, data collection and communication practices, ASD research and evidence-based practices, advocacy, and family resources. Survey results will be used to identify professional strengths and areas of need and to inform future leadership, coaching, and professional development activities.
